We are extremely fortunate that we were spared from hurricane Helene. As you know, many communities were so not fortunate and are still experiencing devastating impact and in urgent need of support. Hawkinsville is providing tremendous support to these communities. Our local restaurants have been carrying meals. Other entities are collecting donations of needed items. In times such as this, even the smallest gesture can make a big difference. I am asking that Pulaski County Schools join the effort to support the families in the communities that were hit the hardest. I am asking every student and every staff member to contribute just one dollar. Together we can truly make a difference one dollar at the time. The donation from PCS will be divided up among local businesses and agencies that are organizing the relief efforts.
