Superintendent’s Message
Parents, Students, Staff, and Community,
Welcome to Pulaski County Schools! As a 1983 graduate of Hawkinsville High School, I am deeply honored to serve as your Superintendent for Pulaski County Schools. I am fully committed to supporting the students, staff, administration, and parents to create a culture of excellence in our schools, with a focus on loyalty, pride, and tradition that comes with being a “Hawkinsville Red Devil”.
One aspect of achieving excellence is ensuring safety in our schools. We take the health, safety, and security of our students and staff very seriously. We are continuously seeking and implementing additional measures to ensure everyone feels safe and secure while on campus.
Communication is another key aspect of excellence. We have made intentional efforts to increase two-way communication with all stakeholders and utilize every communication tool at our disposal. When families and the community are engaged and involved it leads to better outcomes for everyone. We encourage all parents, guardians, and community members to attend school events and communicate regularly with school staff.
Lastly, academic success is a clear indicator of excellence. When students and staff feel safe, when communication is foremost, and when the students know that every staff member is a champion for their success, the results will speak for themselves.
Our school district has embraced the motto “One town, one school, one family”. Together…school and community… as a family, we will continue the mission of Pulaski County Schools to provide quality educational experiences that are meaningful, challenging, and engaging in a safe and supportive environment for all students.
I wish you an exciting and successful school year and as always, GO BIG RED!
Debra R. Puckett
